Who can attend a
Skidpan Car Control Course?
Licenced drivers with registered vehicles
(including P-Plate drivers) are invited to making a
booking.
Where are Skidpan Car Control Courses held?
The courses are held at the Driver Training
Centre on Sutton Road near Queanbeyan. Sutton
Road is about six kilometers from Canberra
airport, or a few kilometers from the heart of
Queanbeyan. The venue is a purpose built
training facility, which includes maneuvering,
skidpan and circuit areas. Only the skidpan is
utilised for this course.
What is a Skidpan?
It is a slippery surface that is kept wet by an
inbuilt sprinkler system. Skidpans are designed
so drivers can develop cornering skills and
learn skid control.
How long is the course?
The course is conducted over half a day from
8:30am - 12:30pm, or 12.30pm - 4pm.
How many people attend?
Usually 10 people will attend each course.

What is the cost and
how can I pay?
The cost of the Skidpan Car Control Course is
$154 - including GST. This includes morning tea.
All participants will receive a certificate on
the completion of the course. Our preferred
methods of payment are Cash/PayPal/Cheque/Money
Order or we can organise for you to direct
deposit into our account.

What vehicle would I
use?
As with the Defensive Driving Course, Rick wants
you to make the most of the Skidpan Car Control
Course. You will do this by using the car you
drive on a day-to-day basis. By practicing on
the course with this car you will fully utilise
the opportunities to learn more skills and be
able to put them into practice instantly.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available and are valid for
twelve months, and are not transferable.
What do I need for the
Skidpan Car Control Course?
Please wear casual clothing and sensible
footwear (no thongs or high heels). Because the
course is held regardless of weather conditions
you may need to bring a hat, sunscreen, umbrella
and jacket.
How do I get onto a
Skidpan Car Control Course? Option #1 - Pay online with your credit
card to secure a booking. We will then contact
you to confirm dates and details.
Option #2 -
You can either phone or email to reserve your
place. An enrolment form is also available on
our website which can be sent with payment.
Confirmation of your booking will occur upon
payment. More details on the course will then be
forwarded to you closer to the actual date.
